I have been doing a lot of whinging and moaning lately about work and weight loss*. It has been a really tough year and it feels like nothing has been easy. Sometimes I forget that things aren't that bad and I have a pretty good life, so here are just a few of the reasons life is good at the moment.
I am happy because...
I can sit in my office and blog and no one can see what I am doing.
My favourite team (AFL) Geelong are on top of the ladder.
My flatmate started a job right near my work and now we can drive to work in his brand new luxury car (hello leather seat warmers) and I don't have to use revolting public transport anymore.
I only have another hour of work before the weekend.
Right after work I am going to go to Apollo Bay for the weekend for my friend's wedding tomorrow.
I get to dress up and drink champagne at my friend's wedding- two of my favourite things to do.
When I get home on Sunday the house will be sparkling clean because my cleaner would have cleaned up for me.
I have Monday off work to make up for all the extra hours I have been working.
I am going to the UK in exactly 3 weeks for a month.
See life isn't that bad! Have a good weekend.
*Oh you noticed I have avoided discussing this topic today...
Well you certainly have a lot to be happy about! Lucky you! Have a fantastic weekend chick.
ReplyDeleteOmg.. half your luck... can we swap places for a month or two....
ReplyDeletehey, I just came across your blog, your weight loss is really inspiring, well done to you! I think I am at the same weight as you are at the moment (98kg) and I've just starting eating better and going to the gym. I'm also in Melbourne, and it was your favourite team being Geelong that I was like "yeah, I have to say hello"
ReplyDeleteSo yeah, hello, I think you're doing awesome and I wish you all the best for the future. What I do when I really feel like having some chips or chocolate (I've given up chocolate altogher, I can't do moderation, it's all or nothing here) I tell myself how sucky it would be to have another "First Day" and I don't want anymore first days, I want some second months and third months, those I think are more rewarding.
Hope the wedding is going well, and I'll keep checking your blog if you don't mind, I quite enjoy it =)
Seeya.
Oh, and I also wanted to say that I get that all the time aswell, my auntie says to me "kylie, you'd be so beautiful if you only lost about thirty kilos" which puts me in an anti-diet mood. But it's not for her benefit, it's for mine. Sorry, just thought I'd share =D
ReplyDeleteLovely, positive post, Tully. :-) Absolutely loved it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Adorable as usual! You're going to have such a blast in the UK while you're there. A million years ago you asked me about fun stuff to do in Oxford -- and I say you can't go wrong with punting, buying a ticket for the hop on-hop off bus (it's the quickest way to get familiar with the city), and spending hours in Blackwell's bookshop. That and pub crawling (The Eagle and Child is always fun) and you should be all set. Take your camera -- it's beautiful. I'm so jealous...
ReplyDeleteI don't think you whine and moan. To me you just talk frankly about where you are at any given moment. It's life.
ReplyDeleteIn any case, it's always a good thing to remember all the wonderful things we have going on in our lives and you have many many wonderful things going on in yours. :)
