February 1st Weigh In: 94.1 kilos (207 lbs)
Weight Lost In January: 4.9 kilos (10.5 lbs)
Total Weight Lost: 35.6 kilos (78 lbs)
It's the first day of the month, which means it is my 'official' weigh day. I had a really good month, but the numbers actually look better than they were. I lost almost 5 kilos in the first 2 weeks of the month and the scale hasn't budged since then. So I was obviously stoked with the number 2 and a half weeks ago, since then I am feeling slightly less enthused with seeing the same numbers.
I know, I know, there are a billion reasons why my body has a plateau. It's probably due to the fact that I lost 5 kilos so quickly and I have also increased my exercise quite a bit this month and I am actually feeling fitter. My clothes are still fitting the same and I am starting to wonder if I will ever fit comfortably into a size 20. I can't believe that at my weight most size 20's are still too small. Damn you apple body shape.
I have to say though that I always said that once I hit under 95 kilos I wouldn't complain about the number on the scale. I thought it would be like having 20 million dollars and then complaining because you now only have 15 million dollars-- who cares because you still have 15 million dollars so stop bitching! It is true too, I still look at those numbers and curse them for not moving, but then laugh because how can I be disappointed really when I have lost 35 kilos and weigh under 95 kilos?!
i'm so pleased to hear of this 35+ kilo loss.
ReplyDeleteyou're a freakin' inspiration
x
Whoa... major loss for the month - whether you did it all the first half or not. Well done!!
ReplyDeleteHang in there with clothes dilemma. I was an apple too (still think I am.. albeit a smaller apple lol)The sizing will come down!!
You're so inspiring missy! All your hard work really paid off. It must be so frustrating to have plateaued... I'm sure the scales will start moving again soon though. If you're anything like me, all the weight will come off everywhere but your belly first - so frustrating! My prediction is that soon enough you'll be wearing size 16s and wondering what on earth you were worried about :)
ReplyDeleteKeep on going sweets... 35 kilos is a massive loss! You're going to be looking hot, hot, hot sunning yourself by a certain Bali pool in October. Woohooo!
xxx
Wow 35 kg lost....fantastic and a good loss this month too. Keep up the great work
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your loss! Like you said, hard to complain about that. Also, I think you picked a fantastic word to describe 2010. I think we all have felt a slave to our weight (or our job) and to break free would be a gift from God. Good luck!
ReplyDelete78 pounds is fricking amazing girl!
ReplyDeleteThe best is yet to come,so keep at it!!
That's an awesome monthly weightloss! I know how it is being an apple - my butt is still a size larger than my top but keep working at it because the clothes sizes will keep decreasing!
ReplyDeleteEm :)
Awesome work! As miss Milo says, I recon you'll be in a size 16 soon. Regardless - you already look HOT!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you look back at all your perseverence and how far you have come just smile and know you have done well, and that in 3 more months you will be looking back and under 80kilos going omg who would have thought!
ReplyDeleteI think it's only natural to be frustrated with the numbers not moving when you want them to -- but you are doing a great job, and have come so far already. It's a great testament to you that you keep going, even when you are disappointed and things don't go quite right x
ReplyDeleteI hear ya about complaining but 5 kilos is amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou're doing so wonderfully!
WOWEE!! 94 kilos!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you didn't look at your weight at the beginning of the month, then they weighed you and said "You've lost 5 kilos this month" wouldn't you have been overjoyed?
Perhaps pop the scales away so you won't feel like this if it ever happened again?
You are so close to sniffing the 80's Tully. Can you feeeeeel it? *grin*
Squeeeeee!
ReplyDeleteYou're doing it! Oh my gosh. That's just brilliant ;-)
Righto, time for me to de-lurk after years of reading your blog because I can't be lazy and just admire you from a distance anymore - 35kg! Bloody awesome love!
ReplyDeleteYes, I made myself that promise too, and have now lost 33kg, and am 92.5kg, but then I go and set myself a 10kg by Easter goal, and am sad everytime my weigh in's show I'm probably not going to make it! The way I'm going, I think it might be a 'Under 90kg by Easter' Challenge.
ReplyDeleteAnother de-lurker! I know how you feel! 94 still seemed too high when I started at 109, but I had to try and perspective! 35 is a 10 year old child, and an amazing achievement! 2010 is going to be your year :) I love reading your blog.
ReplyDeletebtw, I also want to say "pretty if'? Seriously, you were always stunning!!! Pretty if never applied to you!
ReplyDeleteAwesome point Cat!
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with those size 20's? I am right there with you! I can't seem to get to them fast enough. It's like trying to get out of the 270's. I had a heck of a time doing that!
