All Good

Sorry if I sounded down in the dumps earlier this week. I don't mean to be such a downer all the time, I try to be brutally honest and sometimes it comes across being more negative than I intend.

I am not actually doing all that bad, if I do say so myself! I have been going to the gym 4-5 times a week all this month and it really doesn't ever cross my mind not to go. I have also being doing great with my eating, last weekend was just a slight blip on the radar. The good thing is that I always knew I would be ok. I just made a few impulsive and stupid food decisions, and that is ok, one thing I will never be is perfect.

I haven't been weighing myself, so I really don't know how all that is going, but I weigh in on the 1st of the month, so time will tell. I haven't noticed huge changes in myself or my clothes, but I don't really expect to at this stage. When you are as big as I am, it takes about 30 kilos before noticeable changes start to occur. As weird as it sounds, as soon as I get to 99 kilos, I suddenly get everyone noticing my weight loss. That is still a while off...

My blogging and commenting has had to take a back seat because work has gone and blocked access to blogger, how dare they? I don't tend to get online at night anymore because going to the gym takes priority and I find when I turn the computer on it just sucks hours of time away. I am working from home today and taking the opportunity to get onto blogger!


  1. It's ok.. we all have those moments when we just feel like venting.. believe it or not.. we are all here for you!
    It does sound like you're going ok though as far as food and exercise go. And how do you manage to just weight in once a month. I have to really stop myself from doing it more than once a week :)

  2. I was the same - no one really noticed I'd lost weight until I was around the 90kg mark! I'd been putting in a massive effort for about five months at that point! If you can tell the difference that's all that matters - and if you keep up the great work you're doing at the gym and with your eating, it's only a matter of time!

    Good on you for not letting a few bad days get you too down. One thing I keep telling myself is that this journey doesn't have an end date and while I'm consistently working on being the best, healthiest me I can be, I won't get it right every time, and that's ok. Life is for living right now, and being happy!

    And how dare your work remove blogger! I'll be in trouble if that ever happens to me! :D x

  3. Well done on keeping the exercise going on a regular basis. I admire your ability to only weigh in on the first of the month too - that would be impossible for me!
    These are all healthy changes to be proud of.

  4. I bet your weightloss is noticasble! You know why??? Cause you snd I seem to be following the same kind of weightloss so you should see differences!

  5. Just know that everyone goes through this once in a while. You're doing great by keeping up with the exercise, the rest will fall into place. Hang in there!

  6. stupid work hey! Mine has blocked Facebook/myspace but wordpress and blogger are still ok at the moment.

    Don't stress about the negativity - we all get like that sometimes! Working out 4-5 times a week is sensational!

    I think you're amazingly self controlled to only weigh in once a month - I'd go mental!

  7. You're doing so well, you should celebrate a loss like that - and the healthy choices, and the hard work, that helped you get there! I'm a daily weigher so I admire your strength keeping it down to once a month.
