The best thing about this week's weigh in is that I am back in the 70's and I'm a little over half way to my goal to lose my final 15 kilos. I first celebrated getting into the 70's back in November 2010 and I am trying to be as excited about it as I was back then, but we all know that losing weight that you regained just isn't quite as fun. I think I am more relived than excited this time around. I'll feel even better when I get a few kilos distance between the 70's and 80's on the scale because right now I am only one big meal away from tipping the scales back into the 80's.
I am vowing to put in a supreme effort in August because I really don't have too much on socially so I have every opportunity to work hard and lose a few kilos (hopefully). With spring coming up next month I know I have a lot on that could (probably will) derail my dieting and exercise efforts a bit. Honestly, why can't the world just stop for a few months and let me get to my goal weight? But I have my body lift surgery to look forward to, so if that can't motivate me, nothing can!
Great job chick :) Have a good weekend x
ReplyDeleteTIGF indeed!!!! Congrats on the loss :0) xo
ReplyDeletei'm really excited for you :)
ReplyDeletei have lots of weight to lose and already have excess skin on my arms, breasts, stomach, back, pubic area (sorry, TMI indeed!). i'm finding it's leaving me really depressed and reluctant to lose weight. did you experience that? i'm really scared of the cost and all the physical damage i've done to myself. i feel like it's all sort of pointless now, if i'm just going to end up with lots more skin.
your story is really inspiring and makes me think that maybe it's possible. i don't know if you've experienced what i have, it's really tricky to feel good about your body. i don't know what i was thinking.
Hi Tully ... I'm so happy I've found your blog. I used to read you back in '07, but somehow lost track. I remember you because your writing style is very engaging and you have a refreshing and honest approach. I couldn't remember the blog address, but after a bit of googling, I've finally I found you.
ReplyDeleteI bet people say to you all the time that you are an inspiration. I'm about to say it again. You're an inspiration! More than that though, you are a poster child for perserverance. So many of us who have lots of weight to lose (35kgs for me) have been on this crazy merry go round for so many years, and it is easy to lose yourself in the negative attitude "I can't do this, I've failed so many times, I will never change". You're a really good example of what can happen when you just don't give up.
Congratulations on all your achievements, it looks like you're in a really good place.
xx Cynthia
