For me, 2009 is going to be one of those years where it might just get worse before it gets better. There are a lot of things I need to change, but it isn't going to happen over night. That doesn't mean that 2009 is going to be a bad year, in fact it means the opposite, I think it will be a defining year.
Overall my main goals are:
- Work in a job I enjoy
- Feel good about my weight
- Get fitter
- Pay off my debt
- Be happier with my life
I know these goals seem rather vague right now, I have a plan in my head, but it does tend to change every second day... To achieve these goals I have some really big decisions to make:
- Do I quit my job?
- Do I change career paths?
- Do I get a lapband?
- Do I move overseas?
I don't know what is going to happen or how I am going to do it, but I am confident that 2009 is going to be a life changing year for me.
Good for you! Looks like we are going through some similar things. I won't be moving overseas, but the job and career path are both something I have been thinking about.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you have goals. Go in with eyes wide open. Good luck and have a great week!
Just remember in the striving for it all that the grass is not always greener!!
ReplyDeleteSome great goals! :)
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing how you work towards them :)
Well done on collecting your thoughts for 2009!

Will be following your progress in the coming year!
It's good that you are proactive about all of this, asking yourself the right questions. It's all about making a change and taking charge of your life!
ReplyDeleteNow maybe I need to do that too LOL
You've got so much to look forward to Tully, even if you don't know which direction you're going to take yet. See you Sunday :)

ReplyDeleteWow - there are some BIG decisions there! I hope that the answers come to you sooner rather than later so you can move forward on creating the person you want to be.
ReplyDeleteMake the bold decisions!

Hmmm decisions eh? Hope you can make up your mind and be happy mate.
ReplyDeleteWow they are some life changing goals .... But all soo exciting!!! I think while you are child free and husband free, you should explore all options!! Especially moving overseas .... I love my husband and kids to death but wish I had of done alot more before I settled down to be a mum/wife!! Who knows, Mr Tully may be on the other side?? mmmmm ...... Irish, tall, dark, sexy .... has a BIG prick *cough* and ummmm rich!!! WOW ... if you find him see if he has a brother!!?? *lol*
ReplyDeleteTully, rather than just chuck the whole job out the window, can you think of ways of making it more in synch with what you want?
ReplyDeleteI'm doing that myself at the moment... might be worth a shot?
Linda
Awesome blog!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel about the job, I went into a highly stressful environment in 2007 and put on sooo much weight, around 20 kg over a 15 month period. I think the stress of it all made me put on double what i should have. Since then I have quit the job and dont know myself, it is so nice not having work in the back of my mind 24/7. Good luck with your goals, if you are genuinely thinking about lap banding ask your Dr about alternatives because there are quite a few good ones out there.
Charlie.
hey sweetie - can't wait to see your full fledged plans because your goals are good ones! I will be here darls!
ReplyDeleteSounds as though you have a challenging yet potentially fulfilling year in front of you.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your goals!!!
Even though they are vague they are still great goals. Good luck with making the decisions that will help you achieve those goals!
