20 Kilos Gone Forever!

Last Monday's weigh in saw me finally reach 20 kilos (44 pounds) gone from my body. It has taken me 18 months, but I have eventually gotten there.

It has taken such a long time that I have almost forgotten what it was to be that weight and it is hard to see any changes. I know that there must be huge changes because at 128.5 kilos life was getting increasingly difficult. I was struggling to walk short distances, get up the steps of a tram, wash myself in the shower, shave my legs and do 'stuff' in the bedroom.

When I was at my heaviest I had absolutely no self confidence, I felt worthless and I hated myself. I was scared to do anything, I never went out and finding clothes was almost impossible. It was such a horrible lifestyle and I never want to go back. The way I am taking I sound like I now weigh 60 kilos and have lost all of my weight instead of only 1/3 of what I need to lose! I know I still have a long way to go, but for today I might celebrate how far I have come.

  1. Congratulations on 20 kilos, Tully! And you have every right to look back and realise that you've come a long distance. Its taken me about 7 years to lose the ~20 kilos that I've lost and I agree with you wholly when you say that you forget what a struggle it was back at that weight.

You have every right to celebrate. Well done, girlie!

  7. Well done Tully!!
You should be very proud of your achievement.. its bloody hard work!!!
And I think we should celebrate every kilo lost as it is each single kilo that keeps us going onto the next and then onto the bigger (or should I say smaller) picture.... If ya get what I mean... ok..maybe babbling..I am on cold and flu meds... so off with the fairies.. haha
