Come On!

Woo hoo, someone noticed my weight loss today!

For the first time since I started this whole weight loss thing in April, someone (who doesn't know I have had the lap band) asked me if I had lost weight. Of course my mum and dad have both said I am looking slimmer and you lovely bloggers have given me some awesome compliments too, but you all know I had the lap band and that I am losing weight. So I was blown away when the only guy in my office told me that he thought I had lost weight. Who says guys are un-observant!

I was actually starting to wonder if I was dreaming that I had lost almost 25 kilos because I am still wearing most of the same clothes and no one has commented on my weight loss. I know the next 5-10 kilos I lose will make a real difference now I have lost some of my bulk. I have to keep working hard because my motivation and focus are really slowing down and I am letting a few bad habits creep back in.

I just have to keep my eye on the prize-- getting under 100 kilos by summer.

  1. That's awesome :) I'm glad that other people are starting to notice the difference, too. You'll have smashed through your target by Christmas, I'm sure.

  2. Someone said to me that if other people notice your weight loss you must have lost a significant amount of it. Because it's just you who notices every single gram on yourself and others simply don't. So if a guy commented on your weight loss, you must look really different :) good luck :)
By the way, I love that photo of Lleyton Hewitt. That's the spirit and determination we need :)

  5. Way to go Tully! That is an awesome feeling. And, by the way, you DO look awesome. When I had lost 40 pounds no one had noticed. All of a sudden, I hit 50 pounds and everyone was coming out of the woodwork to say how great I looked. Its just weird that way. Bask in the glory girl! You have earned it.

  10. Maybe no one else has really noticed because you are still wearing the same clothes they are used to seeing you in and they do not show off your new size & shape?

  12. Compliments are great for the ego aren't they! I know what you mean though - mine have only recently (since prob the last 5-6kgs lost) been coming thru. I think it's coz my fiance also got banded and lost a heap of weight really fast so no-one really noticed I was losing too!

Looking awesome - and congrats on the Geelong win.
