Check it out, I lost 1.5 kilo's this week! Finally, for the first time I can update my side bar. :-)
I was shocked when I weighed myself this morning and saw such a huge loss. Last week I worked really hard and I didn't lose any weight, so I have a pretty strong feeling that some of the weight I lost this week was actually from last week. I worked hard this week, but not that hard!
I am only aiming to lose about half a kilo a week, so 1.5 kilo's is way above my expectations. I know it is too much to lose every week, but I am going to take the loss and be happy.
I am off to have my Weight Watchers Berry Mudslide ice cream for dessert. Yum!
Congrats Tully! How awesome it must've felt seeing that loss when it came as such a surprise to you (thats one thing that daily weighing takes away from you, your weight is never a surprise since you always have a good idea of what its going to be)
ReplyDeleteI do wholly believe that when getting started/coming back from a temporary blip (as in, Christmas/New Year/Drinking at the Cricket), there is a bit of a lag in when the effort leads to result, but I'm so thrilled that you didn't get yourself down and kept it up.
Half a kilo a week is a safe loss to aim for per week - at the moment I aim for 1kg per month since my numbers are so much lower (and thus, my goals are so much narrower - 2kg intervals when some other peoples set theirs at 5kg, or even 10kg), and of course, the slower it comes off, the longer it stays off.
That berry mudslide ice-cream sounds DELISH! (Mind you any ice-cream sounds delish to me ;-))
Hey Marshy, that is the quickest comment I have ever seen. I had barely push 'post' when your comment appeared! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the encouragment, it means more thenI can say.
Hahah! Its probably more a representation of my sad sad life that I am sitting here ready to pounce on any posts that get published. The way of the geek! Rawr!
